Definition 

Procedure text is a text that contains a way to do something exactly, in the form of a sequence of steps, so that the desired goal is achieved.

Characteristics

The characteristics of procedure text that can distinguish it from other texts include:
1. Using imperative/command sentences
2. There is a guide to do
3. Using active verb
4. Using conjunctions to show the order
5. There are rules in terms of materials or activities
6. Using adverbs to express details of time, place, and manner
7. There are numbering along with the contents of the activities carried out sequentially

How to Make Iced Tea

Ingredients:

• Tea bag or tea leaves

•  Ice cubes

•  Sugar

•  Water

Instructions:

• Boil the water

• Pour the water into the glass

• Steep tea

• Strain the tea if you used loose leaves, or remove the tea bags.
